Initial Design Process

The design process is the sequence of steps we take for every product to get it from the initial idea all the way to sampling

  • We first need to immerse ourselves in your brand, your specific look and particular target market. We must understand your brand identity in order to be your full partner and ensure the factories meet your expectations

  • We then start on the inspiration behind your design direction by creating mood and trend boards. The designer will get their inspiration by conducting market research and fashion forecasting through catwalks, social media and competitor shops and link themes to come together for the final product design

  • We then start with sketches, pictures or technical product drawings, including specifications, colour, fabrics and trims. Every company is unique and we adjust our process to whatever works best for you and your brand

Once the final design has been completed to your approval, it is sent to the factory for sampling.

Product Development Process

Once the final approved design has been sent out to the factory, we will then bring your product to life.

  • We will work with the factory to source the different materials and trims for the sampling process

  • A specialist will create the pattern and the different production steps that will be needed and when the sample meets the design requirement, we will send it to you for your comment/approval

  • Once you have approved the initial sample, we will then work with the factory to make pre-production samples and after approval, order all the materials

  • The production samples are then made as they will be seen in store and it is on these samples that any adjustments and changes for your final approval can be made. The production sample will usually include labelling and packaging

The sampling process will vary according to the client, product sector and order quantities and it is always a very important part of your sourcing programme. We can help you and the factory ensure you get exactly what you want.
